38 YEARS AGO AC/DC RELEASED ‘ROCK N’ ROLL AIN’T NOISE POLLUTION’

LAMONT’S MUSIC NOTES-MARCH 15, 2019…IT WAS 1981 AND ON THIS DATE AC/DC RELEASE THE SINGLE ’ROCK AND ROLL AIN’T NOISE POLLUTION’. ‘R&RANP’ IS THE FINAL TRACK ON THE ALBUM ‘BACK IN BLACK’

‘BACK IN BLACK’ WAS THE FIRST ALBUM THE BAND RELEASED AFTER THE DEATH OF LEAD SINGER BON SCOTT. THE ALBUM WAS A TRIBUTE TO THE LATE SINGER, AND A “F**K YOU” TO ALL THE CRITICS WHO HAD NO RESPECT FOR THE BAND AND THOUGHT THEY WOULD GO BYE BYE BECAUSE OF BON’S DEATH.

AS IT TURNED OUT, ‘BACK IN BLACK’ IS ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL ALBUMS OF ALL-TIME, WITH MORE THAN 50 MILLION COPIES SOLD WORLDWIDE.

AC/DC IS CHAMPIONING ROCK AND ROLL WITH THIS SONG, SOMETHING THEY DID THROUGHOUT THEIR CAREER. OTHER ROCK BANDS WERE DABBLING IN BALLADS OR EVEN DISCO TO SELL RECORDS, BUT AC/DC REFUSED AND JUST KEPT ROCKING AWAY.

‘ROCK AND ROLL AIN’T NOISE POLLUTION’ IS THE 4TH AND FINAL SINGLE FROM ‘BACK IN BLACK’ AND HERE’S THE VIDEO, ENJOY
