Even though Klay Thompson tore his ACL in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, one half of the splash brothers re-signed with the Golden State Warriors, earning himself a five-year, $190 million max deal. To celebrate, Klay Thompson plans on releasing a new shoe with a special design.
In case you didn’t know, before games, Klay Thompson likes to read old school, hard copy newspapers. Anta Sports, Klay Thompson’s shoe company, worked with the East Bay Times to create a special edition, newspaper-inspired shoe. According to ESPN’s Nick DePaula, the Anta KT4s will have a newsprint-style design, featuring clippings about Klay Thompson. The shoes will be available this Sunday, July 7th at the downtown Oakland location of Oaklandish.
