METALLICA ROCKED THE FILLMORE

LAMONT’S MUSIC NOTES-DEC 5, 2019…ON THIS DATE IN 2011 WHEN METALLICA PLAYED THE FIRST OF 4 NIGHTS AT THE FILLMORE. THE FOUR SHOWS MARKED THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION FOR THE GROUP. I WAS THERE FOR THE FIRST NIGHT. YOU KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE A SPECIAL NIGHT WHEN RAY BURTON CAME OUT PRIOR TO METALLICA’S SET TO TELL A STORY ABOUT CLIFF BURTON. IT WAS TOUCHING AND REALLY SET A MAGICAL TONE TO THE EVENING. THEN IT WAS TIME FOR METALLICA TO TAKE THE STAGE IT WAS SO FRIGGIN’ LOUD WHEN THEY STARTED PLAYING THE FLOOR WAS BOUNCING UP AND DOWN !
