MONEY AND CIGARETTES

LAMONT’S MUSIC NOTES-FEB 1, 2020…February 1, 1983 saw Eric Clapton release the album ‘Money and Cigarettes’. Clapton recorded this album after his first stint in rehab from alcoholism. The album cover is really cool, featuring Clapton smoking a cigarette with the image of a melting Fender Stratocaster beside him.. Eric Clapton named the album Money And Cigarettes “because, that’s all I saw myself having left.” I’m a huge Clapton fan. I don’t think you’ll ever beat seeing his guitar magic in person. Here’s Clapton at the Shoreline Amphitheatre from September 1988. Enjoy !
