LAMONT’S MUSIC NOTES-JUNE 11, 2019…33 YEARS AGO TODAY VAN HAGAR’S 5150 TOUR ROCKED THE BAY AREA. THIS WAS THE BAND’S FIRST TOUR WITH SAMMY AS THE LEAD VOCALIST AND THE FIRST TOUR FOR VAN HALEN WITH A SECOND GUITARIST. IT WAS IN SUPPORT OF THE BAND’S FIRST ALBUM WITH HAGAR, 5150.
THE TOUR STARTED IN MARCH OF 1986 AND LASTED FOR A LITTLE OVER SEVEN MONTHS WITH THE BAND PLAYING 111 SHOWS.
