Lamont and Tonelli interviewed one of their listeners Mike The Train, who is the biggest Metallica fan they ever met. Not only did Mike attend both S&M2 concerts last month at the Chase Center but he attended the movie screening for S&M2 two days after getting his appendix removed.

Lamont and Tonelli talked to The Who's keyboardist Loren Gold about growing up in Palo Alto, how he met Roger Daltrey and later joined The Who, how excited he is to perform a hometown show at the new Chase Center in San Francisco for his family and friends, he even got a reading from Samy The Psychic.

The Who will be at Chase Center in San Francisco on Wednesday, October 9th.

BEEN STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN'S 65TH BIRTHDAY. STEVIE RAY PASSED AWAY ON AUGUST 27, 1990 AT THE AGE OF THIRTY FIVE. SRV WAS PERFORMING AT AN ALL STAR JAM AT THE ALPINE MUSIC RESORT IN EAST TROY, WISCONSIN FEATURING THE LIKES OF BUDDY GUY, ERIC CLAPTON, ROBERT CRAY AND HIS BROTHER JIMMIE VAUGHAN. STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN TOOK THE LAST SEAT ON A HELICOPTER LEAVING THE CONCERT VENUE. THE HELICOPTER CRASHED INTO A NEARBY HILLSIDE SOON AFTER TAKE OFF, TAKING THE LIFE OF VAUGHAN AND MEMBERS OF ERIC CLAPTON’S TOURING STAFF.

THE IDEA THAT CLAPTON GAVE UP HIS SEAT AT THE LAST SECOND ON THE ILL-FATED FLIGHT IS A MYTH. AS CLAPTON REVEALED IN HIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY, THERE WERE FOUR HELICOPTERS CHARTERED TO FLY MUSICIANS BACK TO CHICAGO. STEVIE WAS ON BOARD A DIFFERENT HELICOPTER.
