LARS ULRICH ON AGING WHISKEY WITH METALLICA’S MUSIC, OPENING THE CHASE CENTER

Lars Ulrich, the drummer for Metallica, is not one to put his money where his mouth isn’t, so the band’s collaboration with Blackened American Whiskey comes not as a gimmick bur from a true belief in the product.

Ulrich walked around the BevMo store like a kid in a candy shop, oohing and ahing at the sight of his favorite whiskey’s neatly lined up on a shelf. The rockstar was holding a fan event celebrating the release of his band’s latest venture – Blackened Whiskey Batch 99

Each batch is barrel-aged and also macerated with the sound of a playlist created by the members of Metallica.

Ulrich emphasized that if he was going to have to stand and talk about something with Metallica’s name on it, they had to genuinely believe in it.

Lars also recounted the moments that lead up to their inaugural performances at the Chase Center, the newly appointed home of the Golden State Warriors.

HOLY CRAP THIS GUY’S ACTUAL HAIR CATCHES ON FIRE WHILE ON STAGE AND HE KEEPS PLAYING

Recently, a cover band by the name of Hairball were performing a show in Sioux City, Iowa. During the band’s performance of “Detroit Rock City” band member Bobby Jenson’s hair caught on fire after some pyro landed on his head.

Hairball perform tracks from multiple classic rock acts, with band members changing outfits throughout each gig to match up with the songs they are playing. At this point in the show, Bobby Jenson was in full KISS makeup like Paul Stanley, as the band started playing “Detroit Rock City”.

Watch the video below, you can see some pyro landed in Bobby Jenson’s hair, causing it to go up into flames. However, he kept calm as he continued to perform while his bandmate tried to put the fire out. A couple of crew members then ran to the stage and put out the fire.

After the video went viral, KISS themselves reached out to Bobby Jenson to ask if he was alright. KISS saw the video and said “Hey are you OK? F**k man, you just stood there and kept on singing.”

Bobby Jenson also revealed that he doesn’t wear a wig and that it was his real hair that caught on fire. Bobby Jenson has said “It was really nice and foofy before the show, now I have a much better Alice Cooper cut.”
